Let's assume you've found your way to this blog for a reason. Because that's often how it works with women and our vast networks - we connect without expecting to, when we need it most.
This blog is a place for you to not feel so alone in your thoughts, your experiences and your perspectives as a woman in this world. Beginning in the fall of 2011 it will become home to the voices of the women of the SheChanges' Wisdom Circles, a group of women who have signed up for a five-week experience to dive in, dig around, and make sense of a particular aspect of their lives.
The premise is that we are not as alone as we might think. By these women courageously and publicly sharing their thoughts, we are hoping to connect, validate and inspire other women, creating a ripple effect like tossing a pebble in a pond.
Because these are not crazy, off-the-wall or "out there" sort of topics we're exploring in these wisdom circles. They're archetypal. They are the stuff we talk about over a glass of wine at a dinner party, on a walks with a dear friend, and in restrooms or on playgrounds with complete strangers.
Our ask is that you actively lend your voice. Let these brave women know they are not alone. Share your comments. Build off of, bump up against, applaud, echo, offer, high-five. Do what we do so well as women.
Connect.
